Out of loyalty to Audry Hepburn and the movie "Funny Face" I must say that the last dress is my personal favorite, but they're all really pretty perfect.

Short wedding dresses / North Carolina Wedding Planner
Oh the wedding dress. Other than finding a groom it's probably the most important decision for each excited bride. Today we wanted to share some pretty tea length and shorter wedding dresses. Still white and bride-like, but the length makes them a bit more unique and fun.

Local Wedding Venues / North Carolina Wedding planner
We love and admire our fair share of destination weddings but, for this post, we wanted to share with you all the fantastic venue options in our own neck of the woods.
The Proximity Hotel Greensboro, NC.
What we love about it: A perfect option for brides and grooms who love clean, modern elegance. Did we mention it's a "green hotel?" So, it's especially perfect for those environmentally conscious couples.
Willow Oaks Plantation Eden, NC
What we love about it: Expansive views, a farmhouse feel, and room for up to 300 guests. Beautiful and spacious are something we love and did we mention they offer nature walks? A fun option for out of town guests.
Starlight Meadow Burlington, NC
What we love about it: Who doesn't love the rustic beauty of a barn residing in middle of a field of green? The peaceful feel and natural landscape make this place feel like it's far away from civilization.
The Groome Inn Greensboro, NC
What we love about it: This beautiful house has a special homespun charm about it. The grounds are lush and welcoming and a great backdrop for pictures.
The Belmont Estate Reidsville, NC
What we love about it: This venue is literally bursting with old Southern elegance. It boats of options for outdoor weddings and intimate indoor gatherings.
Isn't it amazing that all these options require no plane ticket and some no more than a few gallons of gas to get to?

We love supporting handmade and small business owners. Esty is, without a doubt, the best place to find an enormous selection of unique, special, one-of-a-kind, handmade wedding touches that fit any style or budget. These are a few of my favorites....
Special wedding day flatwear.
This gorgeous statement necklace is created from vintage brooches.
This beautifully sketched custom tree is for guests' finger prints.
Such an adorable cake topper.
Vintage inspired, silky, and lovely this garter is just perfect.
A ridiculously gorgeous vintage brooch bouquet.
These favor bags would be perfect for candy, cookies, or an ornament.

Beautiful Wedding-Worthy Flats / North Carolina Wedding Planner
For any bride, choosing her wedding shoes is nearly as important as the wedding dress. They need to fit the style she wants, the budget, and be comfortable. The ever emerging trend of brides wearing ballet flats makes me so happy. Not only because I'm tall, but because comfortable, dance embracing flats can be just as pretty and special as heals.
The cool, laid-back look of this pair is perfect for summer.
Any bride would feel like a fairy wearing these.
Modern and chic describes these and really perfect for all seasons.
The shimmery sparkles on these definitely say, "special occasion."
Who says that wedding shoes have to be white or silver? This pair embraces color in an elegant and traditional way.
And finally, a completely untraditional and absolutely fantastic pair that would need to be show off with a tea length wedding dress.
Pretty aren't they?

Historic Blandwood Carriage House Wedding / North Carolina Wedding Planner
I have a wedding that I'm so excited to share with y'all today. When we undertook the job of designing and planning for this wedding the big day was about two months away. The couple, Jaymie and Gene, had gotten engaged and couldn't think of a good reason to wait any longer.
This small and intimate wedding of about 75 guests took place December 30th at the Historical Blandwood Mansion Carriage house in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. When we met with the bride and groom the bride expressed her desire to have live Christmas trees all lit up with white lights, the rest was up to us and our imaginations...
It was one of the sweetest ceremonies I've witnessed. Filled with love and faith. The vows were followed by good food and dancing.
We so appreciated the freedom we had to take an idea and run with it. The event area truly resembled a little wonderland made just for Gene and Jaymie. We wish them a lifelong of love and happiness together!

Glowing candles and white lights always add so much magic and romance. The bride and groom like spending time outdoors and loved the idea of the decor having a bit of a rustic feel. The vintage milk glass vases and mismatched candle holders made the rustic centerpieces charmingly eclectic.
