Historic Blandwood Carriage House Wedding / North Carolina Wedding Planner

I have a wedding that I'm so excited to share with y'all today. When we undertook the job of designing and planning for this wedding the big day was about two months away. The couple, Jaymie and Gene, had gotten engaged and couldn't think of a good reason to wait any longer.
This small and intimate wedding of about 75 guests took place December 30th at the Historical Blandwood Mansion Carriage house in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. When we met with the bride and groom the bride expressed her desire to have live Christmas trees all lit up with white lights, the rest was up to us and our imaginations...

It was one of the sweetest ceremonies I've witnessed. Filled with love and faith. The vows were followed by good food and dancing.

Glowing candles and white lights always add so much magic and romance. The bride and groom like spending time outdoors and loved the idea of the decor having a bit of a rustic feel.  The vintage milk glass vases and mismatched candle holders made the rustic centerpieces charmingly eclectic.

We so appreciated the freedom we had to take an idea and run with it. The event area truly resembled a little wonderland made just for Gene and Jaymie. We wish them a lifelong of love and happiness together!

Tea party in the woods styled shoot / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Last saturday we spent a beautiful Fall morning setting up for a fantastic photo shoot.  Dano Keeney photography took these beautiful pictures and we couldn't be more pleased.
What girl doesn't love a tea party? Especially one in the woods. We love that all the items were found at Goodwill or an estate sale, making this dainty look completely unique and affordable.

Something blue / North Carolina Wedding Planner

We love untraditional weddings, but there are some old traditions that are just too special to do away with. The "something old, something new..." tradition is one we particularly love. "Something blue" can be interpreted in so many creative and special ways.

I wore these pretty blue garters made by my aunt for my special day.

Some brides go all out with a gorgeous blue dress.

Or just a little bit peeking from under their dress.

Blue shoes are a pretty popular idea and very cute.

Lots of blue prettiness in this bouquet.

Some ladies really make it memorable by dying their hair. In this case, the bride's sister dyed her hair blue.

Whats your favorite way that this tradition has been interpreted?
