Real Wedding / At Home Wedding, Saxapahaw / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Sarah and Nicks wedding was sweet, personal, and lovely. The bride chose be married and celebrate at her parents beautiful log cabin-like home among her closest family and friends. Her dad built a beautiful arbor for the couple to be married under and the reception was set-up inside their inviting home and on the large porch the father of the bride had built for his older daughter's wedding last year.
Wedding days are always full of surprises and this one was so exception. As the bride was getting ready and guests began to arrive, a torrential downpour began. The rain slowed, but refused to let up so the ceremony was moved inside. In some cases this may have ruined the day, but for this couple and in this home, it made the wedding and vows all the more special and beautiful. With their loved ones gathered around them in the coziest most intimate ceremony I have ever witnessed, Nick and Sarah pledged their love, exchanged their rings, and were married.
The ceremony was followed by good food and dancing and the rain let up in time everyone to mingle outside and send Sarah and Nick off on their new journey in style.

Trend We Love / Brides in Cardigans / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Oh Fall, how we love you. Pumpkins, rich colors, leaves, hot cider, bonfires, s'mores, warm blankets...it's all pretty wonderful. Autumnal weddings are some of the best, but what's a bride to do when there's a chill in the air and her strapless dress leaves her a bit shivery? Add a cardigan of course!

Link Love Friday 2 / North Carolina Wedding planner

Happy Friday friends! Just sharing links to a few things I found particularly lovely this week...

This shoot is just so fanciful and naturally gorgeous.

Too much gingham? I think not, but you be the judge.

Gorgeous, gorgeous bridal hair accessories.

Incredibly unique, and special wedding dresses.

The rusticness of this wedding is pretty great and I just love the bridesmaids' dresses and accessories.

This bouquet kills me with its gorgeousness.

I'm pretty sure there are few things more whimsical than bunny wedding invitations.

Link Love Friday / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Happy Friday folks! Today I'm starting a lil series that I'll call "Link Love Friday." It'll consist of links (mostly wedding related, but let's be real, there might occasionaly be a few DIY's or style inspirations thrown in for good measure) to those things I come across on the interwebs each week that I just gotta share. Enjoy!

This botanical garland is just so, so pretty. It'd be fantastic hanging above a reception or on a cake table.

I still love flower crowns, but this pretty post made me love tiaras almost as much

Please check out the ridiculously pretty and neat-o floral centerpieces here.

J.Crew never disappoints, especially when it comes to chic bridesmaids dresses.

Everything about this blog is fantastic. Everything.

A pretty engagement shoot. Love the couple's hippie style...a lot.

Just gaze upon these gorgeous and super unique florals.

And this wedding..the dress, the groom's attire, the mismatched chairs and all the scrumptious desserts.

Trend We Love / Flower Crowns / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Have you noticed the growing popularity of flowers crowns? Maybe it's my inner flower child, but I adore them. They're more unique than a traditional veil, but still just as special.  These crowns add a bit of whimsy and magic to any bride's hair. They can be big and make a grand statement or small and dainty and look amazing on loose up-dos, with braids, or atop flowing waves. Here are a few of my favorites.

Sunflower Wedding Inspiration / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Oh Sunflowers, how I adore them. To me, they are the epitome of summertime. They bring to my mind thoughts of warmth, sunshine, and happiness. They're also so versatile. Alone or with baby's breath they can give a wedding a wonderful country, laid back vibe. When they're arranged with more formal flowers or softer colors, they become more elegant and almost whimsical.
So, I wanted to share a little bit of sunflower prettiness and inspiration.

Engagement Session - Sarah and Nick / North Carolina Wedding Planner

Is it really July already? Mind blowing right?  The really wonderful thing about June flying by so quickly is that this sweet couple, Sarah and Nick, are getting married this month!
We'll be doing the design and coordinating for their little shindig and working with Captured Photography by Amy. We can't wait to share all the beautiful shots from their day but, until then, we wanted to share their bright and happy engagement pics with you all.
